Birds communicate with each other by making noise. However, not all birds use the same sounds. Some birds communicate with their mates using whinnies or cackles. Others, however, use a different sound to communicate with their mates, and other birds in the group.

Squawkingbirds make a loud and irritating bird. If you have a bird that squawks a lot, you may need to change its behavior so that it does not make so much noise.

It is important to know how to communicate with your bird. You can learn a variety of techniques that will help your bird to speak more clearly, and even to teach them some commands. A squawkbox, or any other training device can be used to help your bird communicate with the outside world.

What is the difference between a folding knife and a fixed-blade knife?

Folding knives are compactly designed to fit into a pocket or backpack. When not in usage, the blade folds down.

Fixed-blade knives are made to be used in normal usage. They often have longer blades then folding knives.

What is the best survival tool if you are lost?

The compass indicates which direction north is. It also shows us the distance we have traveled since our origin point. The compass won't always show you the correct direction if you travel to mountains. If you are on a flat plain, however, the compass will most likely give you all you need.

If you don't have a compass, you could use an object such as a rock or tree for reference. However, you can still use a landmark as a way to navigate but it will be easier to determine north.

How to Navigate Without a Compass, or with it?

A compass is not able to tell you where your destination is, but it can help guide you back home if necessary.

There are three ways to navigate:

  1. By landmarks
  2. By magnetic North (using an compass).
  3. By stars

Landmarks are objects that you can recognize when they appear. They can include buildings, trees, rivers, and others. Landmarks provide visual clues to where you live.

Magnetic North simply refers to the direction that the Earth's magnet field points. You'll see that the sun appears as if it is moving across the sky when you look up. However, the earth’s magnetic field actually causes it to move around the Earth. Although it appears that the sun is moving across the sky and around the horizon, it actually does so. At noon, it is directly overhead. The sun is directly beneath you at midnight. The magnetic field on the earth changes daily, so the direction of the North pole's magnetic North pole can change every day. This can mean that you could be off track for a few days.

Another method of navigating is using stars. Stars appear over the horizon to rise and lower. These are fixed points in time that you can use for determining your location relative others.
