Fruits and berries were abundant at this time of year, and his survival was a miracle. The incredible story has made the grizzly bear cubs famous.
Mike Vilhauer's story
Mike Vilhauer spent a week lost in California's woods while he was fishing. He was lost and had stopped heading back. So he decided to hide under a pine tree to get some shade from the sun. He became thirsty and hungry again the next day, so he took a drink from puddles. The next day, he wandered in circles, trying desperately to find a way back to civilization.
Mike was exhausted after five days hiking in the mountains. He had a realization. He wrote a note to his family explaining the situation and his regrets. On the morning of Aug. 10, he saw a helicopter overhead. He raised his arms high in the air to draw the attention of the pilot who saw him and alerted search-and-rescue crews to his location. He was rescued by rescuers from nine or ten counties, including Nevada. His story was then broadcast nationally on television.
Adrian Knopps story
After a brutal bear hunt, Adrian Knopps was left alone in Alaskan wilderness for seven days. This is the incredible story of wilderness survival. Knopps had lost his friend and was now alone in Alaskan wilderness. Knopps' partner had run off into the rife, leaving him alone and surrounded by bears and wolf packs. The storm was battering them with 70-mph winds and no cell service, and he was slipping into hypothermia and hallucinating. Coast Guard officials said that they'd never seen anyone survive extreme wilderness conditions.

Knopps was completely soaked by the storm. He was left with hypothermia and exhaustion, but his faith never faltered. The Coast Guard reached out and flew to his aid. Knopps was left in severe hypothermia with hallucinations and swelling of his feet and joints. But, he never lost hope. He still considers it a bizarre accident that happened without explanation.

You might want to consider packing a few essential items such as food, water, a first aid kit, a torch, batteries, etc. This will make you more prepared and ensure that you are prepared to handle any emergency.
